Sound System Install for Leeds Meeting Rooms
We were recently contracted to design and install a comprehensive audio system for three meeting rooms within a newly refurbished office space in Leeds. These rooms are specifically designed to facilitate interviews and meetings, incorporating both participant and observation areas. The layout features a participant room where interviews are conducted, with an observation room situated behind one-way glass panels, allowing for discreet monitoring.
Our objective was to provide a flexible and reliable audio solution for clear communication and accurate recording of interview sessions. To achieve this, we implemented a dual-microphone system within each meeting room. We installed Audio Technica Pro 45 overhead boundary microphones, strategically positioned above the desks, to capture clear audio during discussions. Complementing this, we also included Audio Technica Pro 44 desktop boundary microphones, offering an alternative audio capture option. This flexibility allows users to choose the most suitable microphone based on the room configuration, whether tables are present or not.
The selection between the overhead and desktop microphones is managed through an Audio Technica DM604 microphone mixer, providing seamless switching and control.
Within each observation room, we installed a pair of Audio Technica Kubo 5T speakers in white. These speakers are mounted at a high level to ensure optimal audio distribution and clarity. Each speaker is paired with an Apart Audio in-line volume control to adjust the sound level without disturbing the interview taking place.
The entire audio system for each meeting room is centrally managed from a comms room. Each meeting has an Audio Technica DM604 automatic microphone mixer along with a TOA A2060 mixer amplifier. The DM604, which requires no user input, provides control for any of the many pre-programmed settings.
Audio System Installation Leeds
As part of the comprehensive AV installation solution, we also implemented a robust HDMI distribution system. A key requirement was the ability to display laptop content in each room. To achieve this, we strategically installed Kramer HDMI cables beneath the floor, connecting to a 1-in-2-out HDMI splitter.
This configuration allows for simultaneous display on the large screen TV in the participant room and the observation room. This dual-display capability is crucial, enabling observers to monitor the interview process in real-time. The Kramer HDMI cables ensure reliable, high-quality signal transmission, minimizing signal loss and maintaining optimal image clarity.
The HDMI splitter efficiently distributes the signal, guaranteeing both displays receive the same content without degradation. This setup offers a seamless and professional presentation experience, fostering a collaborative and informed environment for all involved. This HDMI distribution solution is an integrated component of the overall AV system, designed to enhance functionality and streamline communication within the facility.
