Sound System Installation Completed for Trinity 6th Form Academy, Halifax

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a new sound system installation for Trinity 6th Form Academy in Halifax. This project was undertaken within their newly constructed drama department, providing a comprehensive audio solution to enhance their theatrical productions and learning environment.

Our team was contracted to design and implement a state-of-the-art sound system that would meet the specific needs of the academy’s new drama facilities. To achieve optimal sound coverage and clarity, we chose to install four Electrovoice ZX1 wall-mounted speakers, each delivering 200 watts of power. Two speakers were strategically positioned within the main drama room, while the other two were placed just outside the classroom. This configuration allows for seamless audio projection throughout the entire area, especially when the room is fully open, creating a unified sound experience.

To provide flexible control options, we supplied a 16U Swan portable Flight Case. This allows the academy to have two control positions: one within the classroom and another in the extended area. By simply plugging into the strategically placed speakon sockets, users can manage the sound system from either location, providing convenience and adaptability during rehearsals and performances.

The flight case houses a powerful Allen & Heath QU16, a 16-channel digital mixer, mounted on top for easy access and control. This mixer serves as the central hub for managing all audio inputs, including microphones and the Denon media player. The QU16 offers advanced features, allowing the academy to program different scenes and soundscapes for their drama productions, adding a professional touch to their performances.

Inside the flight case, we also integrated two Audio Technica DA49 antenna distribution units, ensuring reliable wireless connectivity for the included microphone systems. The academy now has access to four handheld radio mic systems and four lapel radio mic systems, providing a versatile range of options for vocal amplification. To power the four Electrovoice ZX1 speakers, we installed a robust QSC GX5 stereo amplifier, ensuring clean and powerful audio reproduction.

This comprehensive sound system installation will undoubtedly elevate the drama department’s capabilities, providing students and staff with the tools they need to create exceptional theatrical experiences. We are proud to have partnered with Trinity 6th Form Academy on this project and look forward to seeing the creative productions that will come to life with this new audio infrastructure.

Commercial Sound Installs Halifax

As part of a recent sound system installation project, we equipped the drama department with a comprehensive audio and lighting solution. To enhance their audio capabilities, we integrated a Denon DN300Z media player within a durable flight case. This versatile player offers a range of playback options, including CD, USB, SD Card, and Bluetooth connectivity, catering to the diverse needs of drama classes and productions.

In addition to the audio enhancements, we provided a significant upgrade to their lighting setup. The department now has access to twelve Showtec Q18 high-brightness LED par cans, each mounted on a tripod stand for flexible positioning. To control these lights, we supplied a Zero 88 24-channel DMX lighting desk. This allows for precise and nuanced lighting design during performances. Furthermore, to eliminate cable clutter and improve setup efficiency, we incorporated a Chauvet Wireless DMX sender and receiver system. This complete audio and lighting solution will empower the drama department to create impactful and professional productions.
