Sound System Installation Leeds

We were contracted to install a new sound system installation at Roundhay Hall in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The existing 100-volt line speaker system was no longer fully functional, and our clients needed an effective sound system for their events and sermons.

We chose to install four Electro-Voice ZX1 Black wall-mounted speakers, a QSC amplifier, a Cloud single-zone mixer, and an Allen & Heath ZED18 PA mixer. Additionally, we incorporated Audio-Technica handheld and over-ear radio microphone systems, all housed in a Swan flight case.

The Electro-Voice ZX1 speakers are installed on either side of the hall, providing adequate coverage throughout the space. In the sound equipment cabinet located beneath the stage, we placed a QSC stereo amplifier, a Cloud single-zone mixer, and the existing Ampetronic hearing loop amplifier. As part of the audio system installation, we were also tasked with creating a surround sound system for a cinema group that sometimes shows films within the hall.

We integrated this system with the previously installed equipment by adding two additional Electro-Voice ZX1 speakers as rear surround speakers mounted on the back wall and a single Electro-Voice ZX1 as the centre speaker on stage. In the equipment cabinet at the back of the room, we installed all amplifiers along with an AV receiver, which we are using solely as a pre-amp to separate the audio for each speaker, effectively creating a surround sound experience for their film nights.

For the local audio inputs we have installed an Ipod input plate, Cloud Bluetooth Receiver and two additional microphone inputs which were installed local to the equipment cabinet.

Halfway down the hall we have installed a dual XLR input plate which is to be used for connecting the Allen & Heath ZED 18 PA mixer and two Audio Technica radio mic systems which are housed in Swan flight cases.
