Sound System Installation Wakefield
Sound System Installation Wakefield – we were contracted by The John Curwen Primary School in Heckmondwike near Wakefield to install a new upto date sound system solution as their existing 100 volt line audio system wasn’t even capable of delivering an adequate sound level or speech intelligibility for class assemblies or award ceremonies
We opted to install four Electrovoice ZX1 speakers which feature an 8″ driver and horn in white, two are installed left and right of the stage and the other two are installed halfway down the hall as infil sound along with two ZX1 12″ bass speakers which are sited under the stage area to add some low frequency when they are doing stage performances.
Within the custom built Swan Mixer Flightcase we have installed an Allen & Heath ZED 18 PA mixer with 18 microphone channels, along with four Audio Technica Handheld Radio Mic Systems, an Audio Technica Lapel Radio Mic System, a DBX 2 way crossover, a QSC GX3 and a QSC GX5 professional stereo amplifier for the main sound system.
Over the front of the stage area we have installed two Audio TechnicaAT875 shotgun microphones mounted on some small ceiling brackets for picking up the speech from performances and children on the stage when they are performing their school productions.

Also as part of the sound system installation we have also installed four Apart Audio ceiling speakers with an 8″ driver mounted in the suspended ceiling tiles in the dining area at the back of the hall along with a rack mount TOA 100 volt line mixer amplifier so this area can be used for the extra seating in the hall when they are performing on stage and need the sound to cover the whole of the hall and dining area.
