Sound System Installations Sheffield – we have just completed a professional sound system installation for Sumo Digital in Sheffield within their staff canteen area with the installation of two Electrovoice ZX3 speakers & four Electrovoice ZX1 speakers.
We were contacted by Sumo Digital in Sheffield to install a professional sound system installation within their staff canteen which would be used for presentations, background music and for live performances throughout the day.
For the control system we were asked to install something a bit different so we opted to install a Soundcraft 16 Channel digital mixer which is wirelessley controlled from their Ipad giving them wireless control over the individual audio channels and overall level from a remote position within the canteen area.
Having installed numerous professional sound systems using the Electrovoice ZX1 8″ speaker this was an ideal speaker for the infil areas in the canteen areas, but for the main front of house sound system we decided to install a pair of Electrovoice ZX3 speakers which feature a 12″ driver and horn. These speakers were installed from the steel girders at the front using unistrut brackets in a horizontal orientation as we didn’t have the ceiling height.
Part of the audio system installation consisted of a Soundcraft 16 channel wireless digital mixer which is controlled via their own Ipad along with two QSC stereo amplifiers, Audio Technica Radio Mic system and a Sonos connect for playing background music. The Sonos connect gives them access to local radio stations and also the facility to stream music from a mobile device so they have unlimited choice of music.

All the sound equipment was installed in a Swan mobile flightcase which houses the Sonos Connect wireless streaming unit, Audio Technica Radio Mic Receiver, Soundcraft Digital Mixer and two QSC stereo amplifiers so it can be unplugged and wheeled away when not in use as we installed some wall connection plates at low level.
